I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the trails here with great views along the mcleod river. These trails would be great for cyclists of all levels fairly simple for kids and beginners but haves some really fun sections for the more agresive rider or just to go out for a nice hike. I went out today mostly just to find a riding and trail running area as im going to be in and out of town alot the next several months. I was only planing to be an hour or 2 on the trails and ended up riding every trail i could see some a few times and before i knew it i had been the 5.5 hours. The edson cycling club has and is doing a fantastic job extending the trails with bridges, boardwalks a few nice berms GREAT JOB guys! Its a shame to see how little use some of the trails get and i saw only a couple people on the trails other then right at the river. Ill be there several times a week while I'm here. Hope to see you on the trails!

We were looking for a quiet campground suitable for tenting and 2 dogs. The overflow campground had very clean pit toilets, well water with a pump, free fire wood and large private woodsy sites. Nice trail to the river = dog heaven. We were confused about registration but the host came to collect fees. Only drawback was getting stuck behind a train on our way out.

This hidden gem of a park is spectacular. The "overflow" camping is one of the best campgrounds I've stayed in. Perfect for tents or trailers if you don't need hookups. The sites are well spaced out. Firewood is included in the rate. The outhouse are clean! There are hiking trails in the park along the river and through the forest. All trails are well maintained. In the main campground area there is day use and a playground. Lots of nice campsites there, too.
